GNFKS' celebrated Mother's Day at Old Age Home

We all know how great it feels to receive gifts. However, the joy of getting is short-lived. Our lives are richer when we share, and that great inner joy comes from helping others to better their lives. Truly giving from the heart fills your life with joy and nourishes your soul. Giving provides an intrinsic reward that’s far more valuable than the gift.

To find yourself, lose yourself in the service of others.
— Mahatma Gandhi

Giving takes you out of yourself and allows you to expand beyond earthly limitations. True joy lies in the act of giving without an expectation of receiving something in return. Many eyes turned moist at one of the Sydney's Old Aged home on Saturday, 13th of May, 2017 when a group of GNFKS' volunteers visited the place with a cake, fresh fruit, juices , sweets, warm socks , goodies and 70 gift bags to celebrate Mother's Day with 81 odd female senior citizens. The grandmas savoured delicacies and enjoyed the warmth of our precious volunteers who pampered them all morning. They gave them hand massages, spoilt them with nail paints, fed them with yummy delicacies and lend their ears to listen to their untold stories that made most of the volunteers teary. The old mothers cut the cake and were overjoyed to see the gifts and gave blessings to all of them. All the volunteers were overwhelmed and had a very emotional time there. We came back home with long lasting deep sense of contentment.
